June 01, 2022
The strategic project Conscio Alliance was initiated by a consortium of five businesses, four research centres and universities, and $4.5 million in investments.

Project objectives

  • Allow senior citizens to maintain autonomy in the environment of their choosing
  • Create a solution that supports stakeholders and is accessible to as many people as possible

Roadmap

“Living lab” apartments were created at the CRIUGM and the Université de Sherbrooke’s DOMUS laboratory.

The CRIUGM and the DOMUS laboratory have completed several pilot projects in private apartments over the last five years.

The first phase of the research project will take place in 2019 at Résidences Le 1615 and Le 1625 (formerly Roch Pinard) in the Quartier des générations, a Berthiaume–Du Tremblay Foundation initiative.

The second phase will begin in 2020 in private residences for seniors.

Marketing for private residences is set for late 2022 – early 2023.
