Déjeuner Techno : Quantum computing, what are the challenges and opportunities for Canada ?

Join us for the 1st Déjeuner Techno of the year, presented by TechnoMontréal and Prompt.

In this talk, we will review basic concepts of physics and information that are required to understand how quantum computing works. Moreover, we will present an overview of the efforts in industry & academia towards building quantum computers, emphasizing the leadership role that Canada has and continues to play. Finally, we will dive deeper into the principles of one of the leading quantum-computing architectures known as circuit QED, which is developed at Google and IBM.
