Montreal, QUEBEC July 29th 2020 — TechnoMontreal has launched an initiative through the technology think tank, HUMANITEK, to support and foster the adoption of quantum technologies in Quebec. Driven by economic, environmental and social needs, this innovation ecosystem initiative aims to build and catalyze a thriving industrial sector in Quebec that exploits the concrete promises of quantum technologies.

Massive impacts on cybersecurity and computer simulations are already foreseeable with the quantum revolution, but the world is just beginning to understand and demystify the scope of its applications.

In order to carry out this structuring initiative for Quebec’s industry, to ensure that the conditions and development of an innovation ecosystem for quantum technologies are realized, and to draw up a roadmap for this potential new industry of the future (IotF), TechnoMontréal has set up an Advisory Committee with extensive experience in industrial innovation.
