We are Numana

Our mission

Numana is a not-for-profit organization that acts as a technology macro-accelerator. By mobilizing the private, public, academic and community sectors, Numana develops and propels high-impact projects so that tomorrow’s technologies can emerge, be tested and adopted, and benefit society as a whole.

The vast and cross-disciplinary nature of the technology ecosystem makes adopting cutting-edge technologies or emerging models a complex task. Before you can commercialize a new technology or launch it in new markets, you must often test it with your teams, a process that can be expensive and complex, especially for Quebec and Canada SMEs.

Numana’s role as a macro-accelerator is to provide industrial experimentation environments and laboratories for the development and adoption of these technologies. This solution can even be used by SMEs and startups that may have a brilliant idea but need major investment to bring the idea to life on their own.

To let organizations of all sizes experiment with these emerging technologies and models, Numana has developed a specific approach.

This approach has four main goals:

  • Accelerate the development of technology products and services
  • Accelerate technology adoption
  • Develop a highly specialized workforce
  • Attract foreign investment

All stakeholders in Quebec’s technology ecosystem play a role in this approach.
