How do we mobilize knowledge and
support public policies?
Knowledge mobilization is how an industry both increases its visibility and helps different audiences understand what it does. While our technology intelligence solution provides information for experts, our knowledge mobilization and public policy activities showcase local initiatives on the international stage and foster understanding in the ecosystems that use information and communications technologies.
While it is becoming more and more important for society to become digitally literate, emerging technologies are nevertheless often based on little-understood and complex scientific concepts. Getting Quebec’s ecosystems to adopt these technologies means exposing people to these concepts or to alternative ways of using technologies.
Public policy plays an essential role in technological innovation, as governments are the ones responsible for producing laws and frameworks for emerging technologies.
However, since our government representatives cannot be experts in every field, conversations with businesses are vital. This will help the government identify new disruptive technologies and create frameworks that account for the sector’s realities.
